Collage and Mixed Media by joel Sampson

This page shows some of my collage, mixed media and other media rather than straight photography. I've been working in New Media, using microprocessors, electronics and computers. I am currently working on a series of kinetic percussion sculptures that play music.

I am working quite a bit with text. I layer text on found paper, such as nautical charts, other maps and player piano rolls. I also create vectorized images with text over my photography, which are typically printed large on canvas. I often incorporate my photography with acrylic paint and other elements to create a collage.
