2012 Assistance League of Houston

Robin Clark, Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and me at the 2012 Assistance League of Houston juried exhibit at William's tower. I was awarded a $1000 award and 3rd place for Pan, Can, Bam!

This is Pan, Can, Bam! installed. It was fun to see the crowd reaction and those brave enough to push the button. After all, we are all taught not to touch the art. It got a lot of attention.

2011 Assistance League of Houston
|
Heather Pesanti, Curator at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery (Buffalo, NY) and me at the 2011 Assistance League of Houston juried exhibit at William's tower. I had a fun group loo photo in the exhibit, plus two images from my Rt. 66 in Texas series. I was the only artist with three works in the exhibit. Both Rt. 66 images were sold during the exhibit.

I had two works in the 2010 Assistance League of Houston show again. Shown is the juror, John Zarobell, Assistant Curator of Painting and Scultpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and me. The show hangs at Williams Tower.

MAC XV - Top 15
|
I was featured in the MAC XV Lecture. Shown is Gail Sachon, Dallas Vice-Chair of Cultural Affairs, and me. My MAC Loo print was one of 15 artworks featured. I'm a MAC Charter Member and have been in all 15 exhibits!

Assistance League of Houston - 2009
|
I was in the 2009 Assistance League of Houston exhibit again this year. This is Shelley Langdale, Associate Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I exhibited EJ's, a bar in beautiful downtown Port Arthur, Texas.

2008 Art in the Metroplex
|
I received the $1000 Daimler Financial Services Award in the 2008 TCU (Texas Christian University) Art in the Metroplex exhibit! The juror was Eleanor Heartney, contributing editor for Art in America and a frequent New York City art critic and author.

Double Entendre at The UpStairs Gallery

Our two person show looked great and we filled the entire gallery. I had many new works, including several large digital prints on canvas. I also had new mixed media work that using maps and player piano rolls. The Arlington, Texas opening was March 29, 2008.

Assistance League of Houston - 2008
Kevin Salatino, Curator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, was the juror (shown on the left). The exhibit hung at the Williams Tower Gallery in Houston, Texas. The opening was January 17, 2008.

Acme Brick in Fort Worth
|
I have three 24" x 24" mixed media collages in the permanent art collection in the new Acme Brick building in Fort Worth. I have a geat location on the third floor executive suite in the board room waiting area. Acme Brick is owned by Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. The building and art opening was November 28, 2007.
